Introduction

The The Eyes of Adventure Journal is a set of quests/achievements you can complete for extra rewards in your Adventure Log. For this journal, you need to collect knowledge by interacting with various objects around Land of the Morning Light, such as Dokkebi Chests, fish up items, and interact with the mysterious Dokkebi goblins. The adventure log is easy to complete and only requires level 11+.

Below is a list of all the rewards you will get once you complete all 9 Volumes.

Dokkebi Journal Volume 1 – Page #1

• Can be completed by talking to the Slowkkebi NPC at Dokkebi Forest
• Use the chat option to ask “Do you know Mirrorkkebi?”
• The NPC can be found next to the Dokkebi Princess NPC
• Reward: Corner Decorated Vanity

Dokkebi Journal Volume 1 – Page #2

• Fish Pollack x5 using a Fishing Rod
• The fish can be caught in any of the Saltwater around Land of the Morning Light, so any islands or on the docks.
• I fished mine from the docks at Songaji Forest
• Since it is a green-grade fish, a character with lower fishing level will be best
• Reward: [Manor] Janggu

Dokkebi Journal Volume 1 – Page #3

• Talk to the Shin Taesun NPC, the node manager of Shimnidae Forest
• Use the chat option “The Painting is really beautiful” to complete the objective.
• Reward: Traditional Mattress

Dokkebi Journal Volume 1 – Page #4

• Watch the Kkebibat performance from the Land of the Morning Light main questline (Tale of Duoksini Chapter)
• If you have already completed the main questline on your character, you can complete the page straight away
• Reward: [Manor] Seesaw

Dokkebi Journal Volume 1 – Page #5

• The Laundry That Drifted Away can be found along the river southwest of Nopsae’s Byeot County.
• Interact with the object to complete the page.
• Reward: [Manor] Stepping Stone

Dokkebi Journal Volume 2 – Page #1

• Climb to the top of the mountain east of the Sangoon Black Shrine location and interact with the mountain peak
• You can only interact with the mountain peak at 7AM in-game time
• Reward: [Manor] Sundial

Dokkebi Journal Volume 2 – Page #2

• Gather Bamboo Sprout x5 using a Lumber Axe.
• The Bamboo Sproud can be found all around Shimnidae Forest, and look like small bamboo trees starting to grow.
• Reward: [Manor] Traditional Muntin Outdoor Chair

Dokkebi Journal Volume 2 – Page #3

• Interact with the Jangdok Platform (the 5 pots) outside Miss Myo’s House in Nopsae’s Byeot County
• Reward: [Manor] Square Open Bedside Table

• Gather Rice x100 from the yellow fields in Nopsae’s Byeot County
• Reward: [Manor] A-frame Carrier

Dokkebi Journal Volume 2 – Page #5

• Interact with the object at the bottom of the waterfall (underneath the waterfall), north of Hanji County
• Reward: Morning Muntin Lamp (Ceiling)

Dokkebi Journal Volume 3 – Page #1

• Interact with the “Prepared Snack” object in Nopsae’s Byeot County
• You can only interact with the Prepared Snack at 3PM in-game time
• Reward: [Manor] Wood Bench

• Gather Reed x300 from the white reed plants all around the Gowun Plateau node
• Reward: [Manor] Straw Mat

• Gather Maehwa x1 from the red Maehwa Trees
• You can find these dotted around Nampo’s Moodle Village near the Donghae Office building
• There are also lots of the trees on the west road into Dalbeol Village, but the next objective is also in Nampo so I went there to gather mine

• Fish Neon Damselfish x1 using a Fishing Rod
• The fish can be caught in any of the Saltwater around Land of the Morning Light, so any island or on the docks.
• I fished mine from the beach/dock at Nampo Moodle Village since I was already nearby.
• Reward: Fish Wind Chime

• Go to the Donghae Office in Nampo Moodle Village and lean against the wall
• Use the “Eavesdrop” action to listen to the conversation
• Reward: [Manor] Stone Rail Pillar

• Talk to Yoosung on Byukgye Island
• Reward: Ink and Inkstone

Dokkebi Journal Volume 4 – Page #3

• Cook Moodle Gukbap x1 using a Cooking Utensil in a residence/mansion
• Make sure you have obtained the knowledge of Moodle Gukbap from NPC Wolim in Nampo Moodle Village, otherwise, you will not be able to craft the item
• The recipe for Moodle Gukbap is: Rice Flour x2 + Cooked Rice x1 + Mineral Water x1 + Garlic x2 + Pork x3
  • Rice Flour is obtained by Processing (L) Grinding > Rice
  • Cooked Rice is obtained using a Cooking Utensil – Rice x5 + Spring Water x2
  • Mineral Water and Spring Water can be bought from a cooking vendor
  • Garlic can be harvested from a farm
  • Pork can be obtained by butchering boars/pigs
• Reward: [Manor] Two Story Fireplace

Dokkebi Journal Volume 4 – Page #4

• Hand over Beef x100 to the Fox Goddess Statue in Yeowoo Pass Cave
• The Fox Statue is not the Gumiho Black Shrine location, and can be found in the other cave below (check screenshot for cave entrance)
• Reward: Ink Wash Painting Folding Screen

• Use the “Eavesdrop” action in Nampo Moodle Village
• Go to the Trade Manager and Central Market NPC, then lean against the boxes at the side of the market stall and use the “Eavesdrop” option.
• Reward: Traditional Backrest

There are 20 chests to find to complete each knowledge category, and once you have found all 20 the page is completed.

You can obtain the chest knowledge in any order, therefore, this section does not show the chest locations by category/page, and instead shows the most efficient route for collecting all of the knowledge. If you are missing a certain chest, you can check the knowledge category and count down the list to the chest number you are missing, then search for it in this guide using CTRL + F.

• Go to the Bamboo Bridge between Shimindae Forest to Dokkebi Forest
• The bridge can be found north of Solgaji Forest and east of the Black Shrine Bamboo Legion map location
• The chest is found inside a cave near the bridge.

• Can be found inside the bamboo hut, near the Stable Keeper Youngwoo at Hanji County node
• You can use NPC Finder to search for the closest stable from the previous chest location

• Go north of the previous chest location to the fork in the road.
• There will be a gate with a guard post on either side.
• The chest can be found on top of the left guard post.

• Can be found on the rocks near the river/waterfall, north of the Bamboo Legion Black Shrine location and East of Hanji Country node

• Go down the cliff side north of the previous chest location.

• This chest can be found inside the cave, north of Hanji County Guard Post, where the road forks in two directions.

• Come back out of the cave and follow the right road where the path forks in 2 directions.
• The chest can be found in the water at the bottom of the waterfall.

• Now follow the left road all the way to the top where the pebble bridge is.
• The chest can be found on the rock at the top of the waterfall.

• Can be found underneath the Pavilion, north of Hanji County Guard Post.

Dokkebi Forest

Dokkebi Journal Page 2 – Chest #10

• Located in the ruins, southwest of the upper road in Dokkebi Forest.
• You can go toward the Dokkebi Forest node manager to find the area.

Dokkebi Journal Page 2 – Chest #12

• Located on the rock south of Dokkebi Forest. This cliff cannot be climbed up and it is easier to fly across from the nearby cliff if you are a Drakania/Lahn/Woosa, have an Arduanatt, or horse with double jump.

Dokkebi Journal Page 3 – Chest #4

• Can be found inside the Dokkebi cave at Dokkebi Forest.
• The cave entrance is directly northeast of the rock from the previous chest (on the 8 shaped path).
• You can also drop down in the cave from the location marked on the minimap in the screenshot below.

Dokkebi Journal Page 2 – Chest #11

• Can be found inside the cave at Dokkebi Forest.

Dokkebi Journal Page 3 – Chest #2

• Can be found inside the cave southwest of Dokkebi Forest.
• Go directly west from the 8 shaped path
• You can enter the cave by going through the gap between the 2 Dokkebi Altars.

Dokkebi Journal Page 2 – Chest #8

• Located north of the Dokkebi Forest Node, go up the path near the General Goods Vendor Slowkkebi in Dokkebi Forest.

Dokkebi Journal Page 3 – Chest #3

• Located near the General Goods vendor in Dokkebi Forest. Use the pathfinder to Dokkebi Forest to find the Cave location.

Dokkebi Journal Page 2 – Chest #9

• Located near the pot at the Dokkebi Forest node next to NPC Tombkebi (Dokkebi Forest Node Manager)

Golden Pig Cave, Drybranch Village

• Head to the Gowun Plateau Node, the area you are looking for is the fields just north of the node.
• The chest is located next to the thatched house near the triangle shaped road in the Gowun Plateau fields.

• Located south of the previous chest, underneath the Pavilion

Dokkebi Journal Page 5 – Chest #10

• Go down the cliff on the right side of the Pavilion from the previous chest.
• The chest can be found near the bottom of the cliff.

• Located near the house next to NPC Dohoon.

Dokkebi Journal Page 4 – Chest #11

• Go down the cliff, south of NPC Dohoon.
• There is a statue of a wild boar and the chest is located on the cliff just above it.
• Be careful not to go too far down the cliff.

Dokkebi Journal Page 5 – Chest #13

• Fall down the rest of the cliff now and go to the left of the boar statue.
• The chest is at the guard post on the very far left, against the rocks.

Dokkebi Journal Page 5 – Chest #14

• Go to the water at the bottom of the cliff and enter the cave.
• Go to the right, and watch for the chest on top of the rocks on your left side.
• There are few different entrances to the cave, so watch for the chest on the back wall.

• Go to the Drybranch Village node next.
• The chest can be found behind the house at Drybranch Village. Near the General Goods Vendor NPC.

• Can be found next to the stone statue on the large island south of Bomnae Valley.

• Inside the cave on the small island near Bomnae Valley.
• The cave entrance can be found on the north side of the island.

Nopsae Byeot County, Dalbeol Village

• Go towards the Yeowoo Pass node to enter the correct area, but bare in mind that this Fox Statue is not the one in the Yeowoo Cave at the Node Manager.
• The correct fox statue is in a small cave on the east road leading from Honglim Base. Check the minimap carefully for the location.

• Can be found behind the statue in the cave at Yeowoo Pass Node (near the location for the Gumiho Black Shrine boss)
• You can autopath to the Yeowoo Cave node to find this statue.

• Can be found on the small island along the coast, east of Yeowoo Pass.
• Located next to the gazebo.

• Located southeast of Nopsae Byeot County, the chest can be found under the thatched house, near the Fish merchant Mister Turt.

• Found inside the building on the east side of Nopsae Byeot County.

• Go north from the previous chest location.
• The chest can be found on the castle wall on east side of Nopsae Byeot County.

• Located at the cave, south of Nopsae Byeot County (near the river)

• After obtaining the previous chest, cross the river to find the next one located on the rocks.

Dokkebi Journal Page 3 – Chest #13

• Next, head towards Dalbeol Village.
• There is a waterfall on the east side of Dalbeol Village. The chest is located on top of a rock near the waterfall.

• Can be found south of Dalbeol Village on the rocky mountain.

• After obtaining the previous chest, you can drop down the rock on the southwest side and the chest is found near the tree.

• Take the northeast road out of Dalbeol Village
• On the right, there will be stone stairs, just north of the stairs there is a small opening where the chest is hidden in a cave.
• Northeast of Dalbeol Village, you can find the chest between the rocks.

Beombawi Gate, Bari Forest

• Can be found on the rocks north of Dalbeol Village and east of the Sangoon Black Shrine Location.

• Can be found on the lower rock, near the Sniper Hunting Region location where you obtain the knowledge of the Huntkkebi NPC

Dokkebi Journal Page 4 – Chest #10

• Can be found next to the stone pillar in the corner of the cave for the Sangoon Black Shrine boss.
• You can use set an autopath to the cave entrance from the Black Shrine menu and select the Sangoon Boss, then click the arrow location button.
• You can also find the entrance at the west side of the area (north of the Sniper Hunting area) at the path along the river.
• Another cave entrance can be found by following the eastern road that goes along the river.

• Come back out of the cave via the west entrance, then go north and find another cave entrance
• The cave is located east of the pathway, on the right before crossing the small bridge at the river.

• Go directly north from the last chest location and cross the river.
• The chest is located inside the cave, north of the river.

Dokkebi Journal Page 4 – Chest #7

• Climb the mountain located south of Beombawi Valley (south of the lake). Go inside the tiger cave, you can also obtain knowledge of the tiger cave here.

• Go up the pathway west of Beombawi Valley to find the cave entrance.

Dokkebi Journal Page 3 – Chest #10

• Come back out of the cave and climb up on top of the mountain. The chest is located at the very top.

• This cave is where you can obtain the “Soldier with a Wounded Head” side quest from the NPC in the cave.
• When you enter the cave, go immediately to the left side and the chest can be found in the water on the opposite side of the wooden altar

• Located behind the tent at the Beombawi Valley Node (near NPC Ahong and Taesoo)

Dokkebi Journal Page 3 – Chest #7

• Go down the mountain toward the waterfall in the northeast direction from Beombawi Valley

• Can be found by climbing up the mountain at the Beombawi Gate node.

Dokkebi Journal Page 5 – Chest #4

• Can be found on the rock in the middle of the waterfall on the way from Beombawi Valley to Bari Forest
• You can find the location by going to the water between the Apex Changui and Bari Black Shrine locations
• You have to fall from the top of the waterfall.

• After falling from the top of the waterfall for the previous chest, look at the bottom of the waterfall in the south and you will see the next chest further down.

• Can be found in the cave located southeast of the Bari Forest Node.

• Can be found at the end of the pathway going onto the small island southeast of Bari Forest (near Songakshi Black Shrine location).

• Can be found on the beach located north of the Bari Forest Node.

• Climb up the mountain towards the Beombawi Cave, located west of Beombawi Valley.
• Climb up the mountain from the location shown on the map below, towards the map ping.
• Reward: Max Stamina +50

Dokkebi Journal Volume 6 – Chest #1

• Can be found before crossing the bridge from Dokkebi Forest to Shimnidae Forest, go up to the right and find it on the rock in the middle of the waterfall.
• Reward: Sangpyeong Coin x200

Dokkebi Journal Volume 6 – Chest #2

• Can be found on the roof of the building on Byukgye Island.
• Go up to the top of the mountain in the middle of the island, then drop down onto the roof from above.
• Reward: Sangpyeong Coin x200

Dokkebi Journal Volume 6 – Chest #3

• Can be found between the cliffs, located east of the small island of Haemo Island.
• Reward: Sangpyeong Coin x200

Dokkebi Journal Volume 7 – Chest #4

• Can be found on the rock behind the bamboo trees, located on the right after crossing the bridge to the small south island on Haemo Island
• Reward: Miraculous Nourishing Soup x2

Dokkebi Journal Volume 7 – Chest #3

• Can be found in the bamboo hut, directly below the location for the Bambo Legion Lieutenant Black Shrine Boss.
• Reward: Miraculous Nourishing Soup x2

Dokkebi Journal Volume 7 – Chest #2

• Found at the waterfall, located north of the Dokkebi forest Node.
• It is easier to go up the higher north road and climb up on the east side of the waterfall, then drop down to the chest.
• Reward: Iridescent Maehwa Liquor x2

Dokkebi Journal Volume 7 – Chest #1

• It is recommended to drop down carefully after obtaining the previous chest. If you just fall, you will die and you will have to use a resurrection item.
• Can be found in the water next to the Dokkebi Princess NPC.
• Reward: Miraculous Herbal Medicine x2

Dokkebi Journal Volume 7 – Chest #5

• Go to the bridge located between Bari Forest and Beombawi Gate.
• The chest can be found at the very bottom of the waterfall.
• Reward: Max Stamina +50

Dokkebi Journal Volume 8 – Chest #3

• Can be obtained by fishing on the hexagon platform in the middle of the river, located south of the Beombawi Valley sniper hunting area.
• Make sure to fish on the north side.
• The fishing area is very small, so to make sure you obtain the item, please stand in the same position as in the screenshot.
• Reward: Max Stamina +50

Dokkebi Journal Volume 8 – Chest #2

• Can be obtained by fishing on the south side of the river, located south of Nopsae Byeot County.
• Fish with your back to the rock, facing north.
• The fishing area is very small, so to make sure you obtain the item, please stand in the same position as in the screenshot.
• Reward: Crystal of Harmony x1

Dokkebi Journal Volume 8 – Chest #1

• Can be obtained by fishing while standing in the water, looking towards the Dokkebi Princess NPC located north at Dokkebi Forest.
• The fishing area is very small, so to make sure you obtain the item, please stand in the same position as in the screenshot.
• Reward: Max HP +50

Dokkebi Journal Volume 8 – Chest #5

• Can be obtained by fishing while standing in the middle of the pebble bridge at the top of the Hanji County Waterfall.
• Face southeast while fishing.
• The fishing area is very small, so to make sure you obtain the item, please stand in the same position as in the screenshot.
• Reward: Mysterious Powder x100

Dokkebi Journal Volume 8 – Chest #4

• Can be obtained by fishing while standing on the small rock east of Byukgye Island.
• Face west towards the main island.
• The fishing area is very small, so to make sure you obtain the item, please stand in the same position as in the screenshot.
• Reward: Forest Crystal x1

Dokkebi Journal Volume 9 – Chest #1

• This Dokkebi can be found north of the Academy where Haejoon is located. The Dokkebi is facing towards the waterfall.
• Dokkebi Goblins can only be found at night time in-game (10PM – 9AM)
• Reward: All DP +1

Dokkebi Journal Volume 9 – Chest #2

• This Dokkebi can be found on the south cliffside of the small island located east of Yeowoo Pass.
• Dokkebi Goblins can only be found at night time in-game (10PM – 9AM)
• Reward: Max HP +50

Dokkebi Journal Volume 9 – Chest #3

• This Dokkebi can be found on the rock in the middle of the waterfall at Bari Forest. It is the same location as the chest from Volume 5, Page 5 – Chest #4.
• Dokkebi Goblins can only be found at night time in-game (10PM – 9AM)
• Reward: Artisan Dokkebi Worker (Nopsae Byeot County)

Dokkebi Journal Volume 9 – Chest #4

• The 4th Dokkebi Goblin can be found on Haemo Island, in the water between the two islands.
• Dokkebi Goblins can only be found at night time in-game (10PM – 9AM)
• Reward: Artisan Dokkebi Worker (Nampo’s Moodle Village)

Dokkebi Journal Volume 9 – Chest #5

• The final Dokkebi can be found on the rock in the middle of the waterfall at Hanji County.
• Carefully drop down from the very top of the waterfall.
• Dokkebi Goblins can only be found at night time in-game (10PM – 9AM)
• Reward: Artisan Dokkebi Worker (Dalbeol Village)
