A caramel ice cream recipe that’s not too difficult?

Yup! It’s possible!

This one is easy!

Caramel Ice Cream Recipe - Serving Ice Cream (1)

This homemade ice cream recipe is so easy.

The Philadelphia style has only 3 ingredients and the Custard style only has 4.

The Verdict

This ice cream has a great flavor and a great texture.

Caramel ice cream is smooth and creamy, because the caramelized sugar enhances this ice cream’s texture!

The Philadelphia style, which is usually a little less creamy than the custard style, is still addictingly creamy thanks to the caramel.

How to Caramelize Sugar

This recipe is fun to make.

I don’t know why, but I get a kick out of caramelizing the sugar.

I love watching the sugar turn to liquid…and it’s easy.

Just put the sugar in a pot and heat it stirring constantly and watch the magic happen.

The next part – adding the warm sugar to the milk can be a little tricky.

Kids should not attempt to do this part because there can be a little bit of spattering of hot liquid.

But again, I think it’s fun! I love to watch the caramel become one with the milk.

The sugar will harden slightly as it comes into contact with the milk, but then as you stir, it will dissolve into the milk.

Fascinating and fun.

Serving Tip

This homemade ice cream is the perfect flavor to serve alongside fruit!

Apples and caramel are a delicious combination.

Serve with a dollop of whipping cream and an extra squirt of caramel topping sauce!

Decadent.
